Ridiculously delicious plant-based meals. Comes in very cute reusable packaging too. You can pop most meals directly into a bowl, some require a couple minutes to heat up with a couple tablespoons of water. The visuals are also really good. I don't usually Instagram my food, but...I kinda wanted to take pictures of this stuff. The only thing to watch out for: there is a LOT of food in the deliveries. Almost didn't have fridge space.
I am a VERY picky eater and I don't like a lot of stuff. I also don't like to or have the time to cook. I am in the throes of menopause and a plant-based diet was recommended to help me manage the symptoms as the prescribed therapies are not working. Did I mention I am a picky eater? I should also add I do not care for vegetables. I stumbled across WeTheTrillions while searching on-line for a plant-based menu to try. While my goal is to manage my menopause symptoms I am also needing to lose a few pounds. I was skeptical because I have tried other methods and apprehensive due to the cost. I did sign up and scheduled my call and met with Limiaa. She asked me several questions, asked me to remain open to trying some new things, and created a menu plan built specifically for me. Did I mention I am a picky eater? Here are a few things I don't like and swore I would not eat. Avocados, beets, grapes, dates, cilantro, beans (expect jelly beans), zucchini, mushrooms, tofu just to name a few. Well, the food came on Monday and I started on Tuesday. OMG! I am so glad I joined the food is amazing and while were some things I did not like, Limiaa assured me that the meals would be adjusted to accommodate. She reaches out every day and responds to my text messages within a few hours. If you are looking to shift your diet to a more healthy way of eating this is a must-try. Because this is my first week, what my mother would call the honeymoon phase, I commit to coming back and sharing my experience
Must try!!! This is the perfect option for someone looking for easy, healthy, and delicious food. I found myself struggling with SIP to stay healthy because when I didn't have time to cook, I often reverted to quick and unhealthy food options. WeTheTrillions got me back on track! Each meal came in a little jar and received instructions on how to eat/prep each one. I liked that instructions were emailed because didn't worry about losing a paper and also eco-friendly. Everything was delicious and filling. A great assortment so I never got sick of it. Price was great for the amount of food I got - almost didn't finish all of it. Felt so much leaner after just one week. Can't wait for my next delivery!
If you want a reliable and nutritious meal delivery option, look no further. WeTheTrillions offers pre-made, plant-based meals that actually taste amazing. My favorite dishes are: - Carob chocolate mousse - Chocolate chip cookies (you won't believe these are healthy, I could eat 10 a day) - Fez salad (a mediterranean salad with beets, fennel, quinoa, and candied walnuts - delicious!) It's tough to find a service that combines health, taste, and convenience all in one - WeTheTrillions does this really well. They also have great customer service and customize the meal to your specific food preferences, so you never have to eat an ingredient that you hate!
I had the opportunity to sample some of WTT's meal offerings in a delivered kit, and found myself really enjoying the taste and high-quality ingredients in their dishes. My favorite part of the meal was how nourishing and satisfying the courses were- even despite the lack of meat there was incredible flavor. For those who don't enjoy cooking but prioritize healthy eating, this can be a great option to explore. While they were very creative with their soup, dessert, and entrees, my favorite part of the meal was the salad. The freshness of the ingredients really shine through here, and it's easily as tasty as any salad you'd find at a restaurant when eating out. Another perk was how it made beautiful presentation seem effortless- I simply dumped the contents of the jar onto a plate and voila! (see pic)
My experience with WeTheTrillions was from a taste testing trial they had with a few Yelp Elites, and I do have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed the selection. WeTheTrillions provides locally grown, organic, and plant based foods that are carefully engineered to provide the essentials for your body. They let you modify almost everything, creating a very personalized meal plan for your needs. They use different algorithms to provide almost anything you'd want in a meal, abiding by different metrics like taste, microbiome diversity, bioavailability of nutrients for improved metabolic health, etc. Now for the food -- The Cordoba - Andalucian Gazpacho (5/5): This was incredibly fresh, and very light on the pallet. The Fez Salad - Crunchy Moroccan Beet Salad (5/5): This was probably my favorite dish, I'd rate it way higher over a classic Sweetgreen or Mixt salad. It's likely healthier, too. The Valencia - Spanish Creamy Risotto (4/5): This was incredibly filling. I enjoyed it and would recommend this if you enjoy your entrees with a hint of sweetness. The Bordeaux - Carob Chocolate Mousse (4.5/5): It was mind-blowing to me that this wasn't real mousse. The Istanbul - Post-Meal Digestive Cookie (5/5): I thoroughly enjoyed these cookies. They're very filling, but also delicious -- isn't that what you want a cookie to be so you don't feel inclined to have more than one? Check out WeTheTrillions!
TL;DR - WeTheTrillions provides health-forward meals with a tech approach! This was an incredible dining/tasting experience! There were so many complimentary and NEW flavor combinations to try, my taste buds were fighting with each other because they were awesome together. The nice thing about WTT is that they let you choose what flavors or tastes you like best or least (so they can remove it). On top of that, they also give you the food in glass, reusable containers. I was going to buy mason jars, but I guess I don't need to anymore. WOO! The Fez salad is one of their staples. The beauty is that the arugula stays fresh even with the cooked beets. Their Cardoba (soup) was out-of-this-world amazing. I would single-handedly pay for this on its own if I could. It was refreshing, and you get bursts of grape in this cucumber heavy deliciousness. Like, excuse me? Grapes? YES. Their cookies, the Instanbul, is iron-packed. This is AMAZING. If you are a woman, this is great for that time of the month. The iron is from the sesame. Honestly, I hate nutty stuff generally, but this cookie just straight up tasted like soft, chewy heavenly delight. I also enjoyed their chocolate mousse - the Bordeau -- and surprised that it actually has no added sugar or uses cocoa powder. My least favorite was the Valencia, which is their risotto, because it was too sweet for me. But I was impressed by the combination of coconut milk/cream and saffron, which is apparently more expensive than GOLD! While the messaging on their website primarily speaks to customers who may have a certain health issue, I'm a physically healthy person. If you are too, these meals are great if you're looking for immunity-boost or even switching to plant-based foods but need a bit more help getting there. How are they a tech company? The founders have a reservoir of recipes they developed over 5 years, which is tagged by ingredients (for alergies and preferences) and health concern. Based on your options, you are given a select number of recipes to get delivered to your door -- LOCALLY!
WeTheTrillions is primarily a meal delivery service that offers nutritionally sound plant-based meals to your door, which is how I was able to enjoy this experience in the midst of a pandemic. Beyond crafting ready-to-eat breakfasts, lunches, dinners, snacks, and desserts, each menu plan is built around your specific health goals and needs, like diabetes, menopause, IBS, PCOS, Endometriosis, fertility, anemia, and more. You get to consult with a real, live person to make sure you're on the right track, and get food you actually want to eat. If I can shout-out one entree in particular, my favorite was probably the "Madrid." Designed with the mushroom-lover in mind, slow roasted shiitake and cremini tumble together in a tangle of zucchini noodles, coated in impeccably fresh, slightly spicy walnut pesto. Acknowledging that "clean eating" is a misguided falacy, the ultimate goal is to satisfy the need for comfort food without sacrificing wellness, or sanity, for that matter. Flavor is the foundation of what makes a healthful meal.
